In order to get a copy of a will from a Probate court, do I need to hire a(n expensive) lawyer?

Or is this something I can request as the deceased’s only child?

Is this something that varies state to state? If so, are you familiar with Maryland’s law regarding release of will?

You would not need a lawyer, all you need to do is go to the court house where the probate is filed with 2 forms of ID and they will have a copy of the will, there is usually a small fee involved but being a child of the deceased entitles you to a copy of the Will.~
