It’s related to wills leaving assets to heirs.
edit: It appears to be a coming out or presentation of pledges being accepted as full members, often with the use of a mask until it’s time, unique to black sororities. Odd use of the term.

It seems to be related to Black sororities and step shows. I can’t find a definition of it either.
