Can a Mortgage be continues when probate closes in Michigan?

The Mortgage Company has stated that the loan pays off on my Mothers home in 2012 and it’s okay to keep paying payments… Is this allowed by the Probate Court in Michigan?? I am the Executor also to the Estate and have paid all debts so closing date is in middle of March… Only amount left owed is Mortgage of $6,200.00 of $363.00 a month… So is probate allowed to be closed and if so please explain steps…
