Is a mediation agreement a legal contract when you go to probate?

probate
robert s asked:

I signed a mediation agreement 22 months ago on a property agreement to settle a dispute. After survey he is not happy with the outcome and the lawyers are trying to get me to change the agreement. I disagree and want to keep the agreement as it stands. Am I right? To disagree. I have to go to court tomorrow.
The lawyer I hired is now trying to make me give the other party more land than he is entitled to and I have to meet with him before-hand. I feel that he is not looking out for my interests.

Aunt’s approx. $45,000 home. Do they need to probate will?

probate
littlejohn asked:

My wife’s aunt died and left my wife, her brother and her cousin sole heirs, ( by will), to her home and any incidentals. The home and everything probably are valued at approx. $45-50 thousand.
All they want to do is satisfy the tax debt and and recover our cost of upkeep for the house with the sale of home.
Everyone lives in Texas.

are you a probate judge or probate lawyer?

probate
lyong222 asked:

two personal reps. and both are co-beneficiaries except on the house.
One rep. refuses to sign over the deed until other matters are done, so the issue is that the two reps. disagree on the “sequence” of events.
After the probate court closes the 8 month claim period and notifies the personal reps. that they have 4 months to close probate, what are the consequences or fines or penalties for not meeting this 4 month deadline?
