I Need Help With California Estate/Probate Law! Where do I start? Muni, Superior. Anything internet?
ANN M asked:
Parents left a will for 3 adult children to split 3 ways. 2 of them conspired (one being the administrator of the will) to cut the 3rd sibling out. The 3rd child was told by both parents of a $250K policy to be evenly split. Mom was ill and hospitalized. She kept asking for 3rd child, unable to understand why he had not come to see her or call her. Mom passed away 1 hour before 3rd child was finally told “mom is sick and it does’nt look good”. They recently slipped and mentioned “6 death certificates and “The Insurance Company”. Most recent, both of them say that there was nothing left after all of the expenses. His brother had the guts to say that the sister was the one who came up with the idea. He was and still is. He has lost everything in his life. .
We don’t know if it’s a trust, insurance policy, his parents will that he has never seen or was offered to see. I need to help him but i am getting frustrated and nowhere. Help me help Him!!

I’m looking for a good resource regarding probate matters in Saudi Arabia and Egypt?
gMoney asked:
Question #1: What is the ownership interest of a property after a property owner is deceased. How different are the laws there as opposed to the US? Does a person still have an ownership right after death? If so, what is that right – is it full property rights?

Question #2: Assuming a person still has ownership rights after death, how do you go about probating properties in Egypt and Saudi Arabia?
Um, in regards to the comment about Nigerian scams, I really hope that was a bad attempt at a bad joke. This is a legal question based on legal research I’m doing. Thanks for that HUGELY insightful response though.

How to claim debt which is linked to a property from executors who have not issued their probate?
Wazy asked:
If there is a debt on a property owned by a person who is now deceased, how can the debt be collected if the executers do not issue their probate?

The executers have been asked to pay the debt however because they are not issuing their probate I cannot claim the money owed to me from them. It has been quite some time since they were asked to pay the debt. Any advice on how I can get my debt.
