I am the sole heir, but my Dad did not leave a Living Trust or a Will of any kind.
My Dad had no debts of any kind and the property is owned “free and clear” I am the only heir, and anxious to sell the property. Dad died without a Will or Living Trust.My Mother preceeded him in death.

My father has passed away recently and left a will dividing all of his estate (just a small sum of cash and a house) between my brother and I. My brother and I are both in agreeance on how to split up everything.
Do we still have to use a lawyer?
There was some unsettled medical bills (less then a grand)…does this have to be paid?
Can we get a public appointed lawyer (a free one)
How can we get our names transferred to the owner of the house? can we just show the will and death certificate to the county department?

My wife takes care of her uncles finicial obligations, so she would like to know when he is due to get his trust. The executor will not give her any information because she does not have to. To shorten this. My Fiancé passed away in April. We were together for 5 yrs. He passed away from cancer. Ok how does the will work. If someone leaves you things/money or whatever how do you see to get that? I just do not understand this whole process I am 29 and never thought I would plan a funeral and deal with this at 29 yrs old, thanks for the help.
