In ohio, when someone has a will and they die, do the heirs have to get an attorney and probate the will?

probate
cindy asked:

My mother-in-law died recently and left all of her estate to my father-in-law (which is only right). Someone told my husband and sister-in-law that her will doesn’t have to go through probate and they don’t need an attorney.

I am the executor on my grandfathers estate. The estate/probate case is still pending. What about taxes?

probate
mixster asked:

In order to file my taxes this year, will I need to include any additional forms when I file my taxes. Nothing has been sold. I have paid the first part of taxes on the estate in December, 2007, and the other half is due by May 15, 2008. I live in the State of Kansas if that matters. I don’t have the money to hire an attorney to ask this question to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!!
