In the state of California do I need to file a copy of a will at court if there is a lvg trust and no probate

So terribly confused about this. I read somewhere that I need to file the origional will w/in 30 days of death, and contact benef. w/in 120. Now I cant find the referance and might have confused this with probate procedure. There is a trust and therefore we will not need to probate. I just want to do this right.
